About the destination: Mendoza is the capital of the Mendoza province. This city, nestled beneath the breathtaking peak of Aconcagua, is one of the most picturesque cities in Argentina, characterized by its tree-lined avenues and numerous plazas where locals and tourists alike gather to soak in the city's outdoor ambiance. Plaza Independencia, the largest and most significant square located in the city center, is encircled by stunning architecture and eateries, making it an ideal starting point for exploring downtown Mendoza. However, Plaza España is arguably the city's most beautiful square, distinguished by its charming azulejos, gleaming floors, a fountain, and a stunning statue. The enormous Parque General San Martín is Mendoza's largest and most beautiful park, and a highlight of the city. The park features lovely streets and avenues lined with hundreds of plant and tree species, multiple fountains, sculptures, gardens, and a man-made lake. About the destination: San Rafael is a city in the semi-arid province of Mendoza, bordering Chile by the Andes. The sycamore-filled streets converge in St. Martin's Square, where there are cafés and the neo-rromantic cathedral of San Rafael Archangel. In summer, it is possible to practice whitewater descent on the Diamante River, which runs through the city, and on the Atuel River, further south. Famous vineyards, which produce malbec and other red wines, surround the city.
